CLINICAL AND MORPHOPATHOLOGIC ASPECTS IN LEUKEMIC GINGIVITIS

Abstract:

Periodontal manifestations in the general diseases background represent an actual theme in dental medicine. Among these the gingival and periodontal
manifestations in leukemia deserve a specific attention. This study emphasizes not only the importance of periodontal manifestations recognizing by both the dentist and the hematologist but also the impressive role of dentist in the specialty assistanceship insurance before, during and after the treatment of leukemia.
The dentist may be the first one who seeing the oral manifestations can ask adjacent investigations to certify the diagnosis. Moreover the dentist must to provide the symptomatic treatment of the periodontal manifestations. Therefore within this paper are presented characteristics for some acute and chronic leukemia’s clinical and morphopathologic aspects.
