Abstract:

Purpose of study: The purpose of this study ist o establish the principals muco-gingival modifications induced by parodontal pathology and the incidence of those among population. Material and method: For this purpose were evaluated 125 patients, which were presented at Periodontology Clinic from Iasi, 67 men and 58 women, aged between 24 and 68 years. Patients were evaluated by clinical examination local,loco-regional and general. During the local examination at intraoral were evaluated the index for gingival hypertrophy and index for gingival recession. Results and discussions: After statistic analysis it colud be observed that the gingival hypertrophy is presented at 47% patients from the lot,and the most important changes are at the men . For women is a predomination of hypertrophy at I-st level and for the men was found a predomination of II-nd level followed closest by the III-rd level with a more reserved forecast. The predomination of periodontal recessions at the study group this was at 43%,with the predominance at the women group. It could be observed that at the women group is a predominance for gingival recessions – class II – Miller- found at 37% women from group, while at men group the most found were recessions – class III Miller. Conclusions. Identification of optimal methods for muco-gingival plastic treatment and the evaluation of their efficiency must be preceded always by a determination of level of this changes among population .
