SINGLE DENTAL PROSHTESIS AESTHETIC RESTORATION

Abstract:

Aims: In this study we wanted to evaluate the particularities imposed by single dental prosthesis treatment and the methods that can be used to resolve the problems associated with this type of treatment. Matherial and methode: For this purpose we evaluated a
lot of 20 patients, 5 men and 15 women, aged between 20 and 55 years old, healthy, that presented themselves in the Gnatology Clinic for aesthetic problems resulted from the disturbance of the anterior area of the maxillary or the mandible. Resultats and discution:The questionary addressed to the local antecedents revealed that 65% of the patients presented partial edentulous situations class II Kennedy treated with fixed prosthesis, 15% presented partial edentulous situations class I and II Kennedy treated with mobile prosthesis and 20% presented themselves for the first time in a dentistry clinic. Conclusions: The recover of the aesthetic dental equilibrium is a complex
and difficult therapeutic method because of a high numbers of factors that influence the therapeutic success (the light exposure and direct view, the type of smile, the nearness with natural teeth. It is necessary a clinical and paraclinical evaluation to investigate every parameters that defines the aesthetic dental equilibrium
