Abstract:

The modern restoration materials and techniques assure re-establishment of the function and aesthetic aspect of the oral cavity with minimum losses of hard dental tissue. Adolescent patients are expected to tolerate the long time periods necessary for the accomplishment of the clinical-technological algorithm of such operations.
Equally, they should be prepared to assure and maintain a corresponding hygiene of the oral cavity, of the provisional and permanent dental works. If the clinical manoeuvres are correctly performed and if their execution is based on careful and rigorous laboratory techniques,
then the margins of restoration may be placed supragingivally, which is beneficial for the health condition of the soft tissues, on long term contributing to the longlasting success of restoration. For assuring the pulp and periodontal health state and preservation of tooth structure, adhesive bridges have been frequently employed for the substituion of the absent teeth, in cases in which dental implants cannot be used.
