The problems of the third age are different from those of the other ages, also involving family or institutional status. Systemic dental investigation does not exclude general and psychiatric diagnosis, but includes it as a first essential diagnosis, according to which all elements specific to the dental system are reported. Therefore, adaptation to removable dentures remains one of the most important issues of prosthetic work and of third age denture wearers.
