Abstract:

Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is a bioactive, non-cytotoxic cement originally introduced as a material for filling root canals and repairing root perforations. Over the years, its use has expanded to include versatile applications in endodontics, general dentistry, dental traumatology and pediatric dentistry as well. The aim of this article was to carry out an updated scientific review on the mineral trioxide aggregate applications in pediatric dental practice.
